The HP L2045w is a versatile 20-inch widescreen display that is more than capable of handling your everyday office workload. It features a few business-friendly amenities but lacks multimedia connections beyond the usual DVI and analog ports.

The NEC Multeos M46-AVT delivers the most detailed, artifact-free picture I've ever seen from a 1080p flat-panel LCD. Though image contrast and black levels in particular aren't as impressive as those from recent Sony and Sharp models, the M46-AVT is capable of an impressively realistic and natural picture once its color is professionally dialed in.

The NEC Multeos M46-AVT delivers superb image detail in an industrial-strength frame, but its somewhat complex interface makes it best suited for professional installation.

A stylish snapper with a healthy feature set, the Samsung NV7 is let down by the image quality it churns out. It's well built but bulky, and it's not cheap.

Photos right out of the camera are excellent, with particularly good color, especially skin tones. I have found that if you stay at ISO 400 or lower, noise is not a problem. All in all, based on my short experience, the NV-7 looks to be a good camera. What I like best beyond its excellent photos, is its small size and 7X Optical Zoom.

If you're upgrading from a basic point-and-shoot or are looking for a digicam that offers more control over your shots, check out the Samsung NV7 OPS. The all-metal, matte-black NV7 OPS looks like a mini-DSLR, with a lens that doesn't retract into the camera, so it won't fit into a pocket. Features include seven-megapixel resolution, a 7X optical zoom, and a bright, 2.5-inch LCD.

Image quality is good but not brilliant for an ultra compact digital camera - the images have good colour with very high saturation, good contrast, although noise is noticeable at all ISO settings. The camera is stylish with a smooth black body. The camera has a very good 2.5" screen, with a high resolution. The camera feels sturdy and is comfortable to hold. The camera speed is good, with a good switch on time, rapid focusing time, okay shutter response, rapid flash recharge time, quick playback mode, quick menus, and average continuous shooting.

The camera has many great qualities, but most have to do with its raw specs. The camera also has plenty of great components, but those didn’t translate into beautiful pictures on the display model we examined. Many of the pictures looked blurry, noisy, or distorted from various recording factors. So while the Samsung NV7 OPS looks like the next big thing on paper, if there isn’t a firmware fix or some other alterations to the internal components prior to shipping, its pictures won’t pan out to be as gorgeous as its specifications.

The Samsung NV7 OPS' novel, engaging interface can't compensate for merely adequate performance and so-so photo quality.

The stylish, budget LG LX150 clamshell would make a nice option for cell phone neophytes who are just looking for the basics. The handset offers all the calling features we expect from a basic calling phone, including a speakerphone, voice tagging, Bluetooth and three-way calling. However, we experienced some muffled-sounding calls. The phone does make up some ground when it comes to messaging, where it offers decent text messaging and instant messaging support for MSN, AOL, Earthlink and Yahoo. The handset's keypad ranks among the most convenient and comfortable we've tested for light messaging phones, with dedicated buttons for texting, voice dialing and the speakerphone.
