The CanoScan 8600F is a fast A4 scanner with built-in Film Adapter Unit (FAU) that can provide pro quality scans quickly and easily. An excellent bundled software package makes it an even more attractive proposition.

Although it was a little slow to warm up, and its photo scans were a touch dark, the CanoScan 8600F proved to be a very good all-around scanner and should definitely be considered if you are looking for a high-quality photo and document scanner.

After doing extensive research on scanners I nearly purchased a LIDE scanner. Someone mentioned in a review that you had to remove the film from mounted slides to scan them. Not so good! I looked further about when the 8600 was released. It is an amazing scanner. Easy to setup, run, and fast. I have only had it for a few days, but have already scanned hundreds of slides & prints.

The Canon CanoScan 8600F delivers reasonable-quality scans for photographic prints and film—both slides and negatives. Its film-scanning features are limited, but appropriate for the price.

The best thing about this monitor is it size. This is my second monitor in a week. The first one I had would just go out for no reason. I had to unplug and restart. The screen had dark spots in the corners. The letters were not clear. I took it back to get a different monitor of better quality. BUT, after having a 22' , it was difficult going to a smaller of equal value. I tried another 22' acer and am very pleased with it. For the money, you cant beat it. I got it for under $250.

am not a big time gamer, but it did play Empire earth and Far Cry a few times but did not noticed any ghosting (take that with a pinch of salt since these games are probably not the fastest games around). However, backlight bleeding can be an issue for some people who are moving to LCD screen from a nice CRT screen.I have encountered that phenomena at time when the screen is completely dark/darkish. Otherwise, X221WSD is a very decent monitor.

Although not as full featured as my Samsung 215TW (nor nearly as heavy!), it is an excellent choice for those looking for a flat panel replacement for their CRT, or as a monitor for a low-end to midrange computer. It will do well for standard "office" applications, home use, and has specs that should be more than adequate for most gamers. Acer has produced a monitor that provides very good quality at a reasonable price. I have no qualms about recommending it to potential buyers looking for a good, inexpensive, general purpose monitor.

Acer's X221W is a reasonably priced 22-inch LCD monitor with a high resolution and fast pixel response, but its image quality and grayscale performance are disappointing.

With the LE 1700 Tablet PC, Motion once again raised the bar in slate computing. The company did not only equip the new models with all the latest hardware technology, but went beyond that by offering true productivity enhancements such as the high resolution 1400x1050 pixel display and the novel WriteTouch digitizer. The addition of a SIM card slot and the availability of various radio options means that the LE1700 will fit into any communications network. Little touches like the new fingerprint reader that doubles as an additional navigation device are icing on the cake.

If working while standing is in your job description, this slate tablet is the best in the business. For all else, look for a convertible tablet that has a built-in keyboard.
