It is a dual-band, CDMA 800/1900 phone, with a stubby antenna giving it a bit of a more girth. The flip cover of the phone is quite sturdy with firm hinges. However the plastic body of the phone does not provide that rugged feeling when it is held in the palm of the hand. It has a frontal external monochrome display measuring 95×95 pixels, having a blue background. The phone does not feature a camera. Though it displays the date, the time, the battery life, the signal strength, and the caller ID, the user cannot change the intensity of the back light, and nor the timing. Its not just my phone

My LG VX5300 phone freezes without indication at intervals of hours or days. The screen looks fine when it gets into this state. But when you go to call someone it hangs and then gives you the black screen of death. After you re-seat the battery to get it to reset, it downloads all the missed call information and its only then that you find out you've missed hours of incoming calls.
