Given that the series is so perfectly suited for the Wii, it's difficult not to be frustrated that The Sims 2: Pets is essentially a stopgap release before the debut of MySims. That's the game we really all want to see. But as Wii-makes go, Pets is as solid as the best of them, and in some ways perhaps better, by virtue of presenting loads of open-ended content with a powerful gaming interface.

"The Sims 2 Pets" is a must-have for any gamer who's been wanting pets. The expansion pack gives us just that. Unfortunately it does little else. Besides pets a couple new building tools were added and some objects that related to pets. Though the lack of real variety of the pet objects (just a few different toys) is disappointing. Don't buy "The Sims 2 Pets" thinking that it is loaded with content, like previously released expansions. It's not even close to adding the depth of gameplay as the others, like "The Sims 2 University." If lifelike pets for your Sims is enough, then don't hesitate to pick it up.

Fans of The Sims 2 have no doubt already added this to their collection, but if you?re still on the fence, your decision should be based upon whether or not you love animals. If you do, Pets is a dream come true. It will allow you to become a virtual breeder, a superb master, or the ultimate pet guru without the real-life hassle and responsibility of owning a living creature.

All that said, The Sims 2 Pets may only pale because the other expansions set the bar so high. The animals are cute and fun to tinker around with. If you're a hardcore Sims 2 fan and you've greedily gobbled up all the expansions to date, Pets is a great way to give your neighborhood some variety. For players who are just coming into the game fresh, though, the other expansions provide a lot more substance.

The customization features alone are sufficient, especially in the cats and dogs department. But we expected this. What we didn't expect is a game asking for $50 and giving you nothing new. The upside is that this port works as Sims 2 Lite for newbies to the series; experienced users will look at this as nothing more than a mediocre entry. Overall, the experience leaves us feeling a little used and dirty...kind of like when our dog tracks mud all over the linoleum floor.

That's not to say it's bad; it's really not. But the lack of clothing options for human Sims and the lack of new, non-pet-related objects really hurts. As great as pets are in the short-term, they aren't and never have been the draw of the game. You'll be spending more time with your human Sims than your pets, so why must the entire expansion be geared toward the four-legged creatures?... If you're a Sims 2 fan and have no expansions, grab Nightlife first. Conversely, if you're a big enough Sims fan to own all the expansions so far, go ahead and drop the money on this one as well. This expansion, in a nutshell, is definitely made for the Sims 2 fans, not the Sims 2 newbies.

The Dell UltraSharp 1905FP covers all the bases: screen quality, physical adjustability, and extras features.

Worth every penny of the price they can be found for nowadays. Simple looks and non offending style. VERY good LCD panel for the price, Recommended, will not disappoint.

I would highly recommend this monitor to everyone that is looking to replace an aging CRT monitor. It has the best screen quality that I have seen and you will not be disappointed.

I highly recommend the 1905FP as a general-purpose home or office monitor. In my opinion the size is just right -- I wouldn't want to use anything bigger on a daily basis. I do recommend installing the Windows XP Powertoy called "cleartype, which makes it easier to read text at the high resolution supported by this monitor. Also, right click on your desktop, select the tab called "appearance," and at the bottom in "font size" select large or extra large fonts. This takes care of most of reading problems caused by small fonts at high resolutions? I know Dell doesn't actually manufacture the LCD panels, but it has established quite a reputation for high quality and excellent value in LCD monitors.
