One of the best performing HDTV but expensive
1 out of 1 users found this review usefulThe Panasonic TH-42PX700U produced the best picture of any 42-inch flat-panel display, plasma or LCD, that we’ve reviewed so far. The credit doesn’t necessarily go to the set’s high resolution–in fact, depending on how close you like to sit, those extra pixels don’t matter at all–but rather to its deep blacks, excellent shadow detail, and clean image.

Best picture quality in its size class
For those who can spare no expense, the Panasonic TH-42PZ700U plasma offers the best picture quality in its size class.

Minor quirks but the picture is great
After 3 days from purchase the picture disappeared, The sound was there and the online TV guide worked; but on the channels there was no picture. I looked on the internet for a solution and all I needed to do was unplug the tv from the electrical outlet wait 1 minute and plug it back in. This solution worked. I still do not know what caused it not to work. two things I do not like about this tv is the voice control it's not as gradual as it could be, and when changing channels it goes dark for a second before the channels appears. Not sure if it's a fuction of this tv or all DLP tv's. Other that that the picture is great.

One of the best TV
This is one of the best TVs we have seen and we look at allot of them. The colors are bright and vivid. Dark scene detail is impressive and HD looks real. But to get the most our of this TV you'll need to invest in a Calibration DVD or have it professionally calibrated. The only real complaints we have are that its a bit expensive and it needs the afore mentioned calibration support.

Mitsubishi OWNS the Wide Screen HD Arena
They call themselves the Wide Screen people, but they are also THE High Definition People! This set is spectacular! Upgraded to this 65" from a WS-55111 55" HD (720i) that I've had for the past three years. The Net Command set-up is not as customizable as before, but it does it all just fine. The new built-in TV Guide function is like on-board Tivo and works just the same. The Brilliant picture is incredible and the 1080p is the best on the market. Simple plug & play (Simplay HD) of all of my components, and the set can interface with my Pioneer Elite A/V Receiver almost like it was made for it. Digitally connects via HDMI or IEEE to everything, and the set hosts a lot of analog accessabilty, as well. A tad bit pricey, but worth every dollar. Take a look at the stand for this model. Very nice styling and really fuctional.

Expensive but worth the price
The Mitsubishi WD-65831 may be expensive, but its standout picture quality, sleek design, and superb feature set make it worth the price to high-end buyers.

Visually astounding with 1080i or 1080p sources!
It looks extremely sharp especially with a HD source such as HD cable TV. Since it is 1080p, I would reccommend a Blu-Ray DVD player which outputs in 1080p. (HD-DVD outputs in 1080i). Clean black border gives it a sharp look. Display is very sharp.

Delivers best picture quality
Although its price puts it out of reach for most buyers, the Pioneer PRO-FHD1 delivers the best picture quality we've tested this year.

Reviews for Samsung 50
The compact design of the S5087 is one of the reasons I bought it since it had to fit in a cut-out in my wall so you may give up a little with regard to speaker quality. Since I’m going to hook up my surround sound system again that’s not important to me personally. I also like that the S5087 has two HDMI ports.
