      saved by rachel | pcadvisor.co.uk

ThinkPad R61 is a nicely designed machine that deserves consideration as a travel-worthy portable.

    • Its pricey but powerful

Lenovo's latest widescreen business notebook offers plenty of processing and graphics muscle in a durable, lightweight design.

    • Everything good except battery life

      saved by rachel | computershopper.com

The fully featured ThinkPad R61 would have its business thin-and-light competition beat, if it wasn't for its disappointing battery life.

    • Ideal for taking on the road

      saved by rachel | pcworld.com

A classic ThinkPad, the R61 is full of nice features you don't usually find in a laptop, such as the ThinkLight, an LED that illuminates the keyboard. For a work-oriented notebook decked out with all the trimmings, this model is hard to beat. ThinkPad R61 is a nicely designed machine that deserves consideration as a travel-worthy portable.

    • Excellent value for money

      saved by rachel | biosmagazine.co.uk

Once residing in the shadow of the T-Series, the ThinkPad R61 is now a worthy contender in its own right. If you can do without WWAN and cutting-edge 3D graphics, the ThinkPad R51’s build quality and manageability should give it a long lifespan and prove excellent value for money.

    • Highly recommended

      saved by rachel | notebookreview.com

Overall, I would highly recommend the Thinkpad R61 to anyone looking for a lower price notebook (compared to T61) with a very durable build and excellent performance.

    • Will create fans among business travellers

      saved by rachel | reviews.cnet.com

The IBM blueprint is still evident in the Lenovo ThinkPad R61, but the addition of a wide-screen display and all the latest Centrino Duo tricks make this a ThinkPad that could woo home users along with its legion of fans among business travelers.

    • Very good

The Lenovo ThinkPad R61 now comes in a widescreen format and looks a lot like our Editors' Choice, the ThinkPad T61 Widescreen.

    • Well built and impressive battery life

      saved by jenifer | pcpro.co.uk

Not a stylish machine, but it's good value, well built and boasts surprisingly impressive battery life. However, if portability is your priority, the V200 is the best notebook we've seen at this price, with an hour more battery life than the HP Compaq and that slight, but potentially important, weight advantage.

    • Its combination of features and performance is worth

      saved by jenifer | notebookreview.com

Lenovo managed to produce a worthy upgrade to the V100 with the V200. While this budget-priced ultraportable is a little large compared to other notebooks in its class, the combination of features, performance and overall build quality make the V200 worth considering.
