Almost without exception, I found the LG brand to be top rated and the 22in model was the best. I have not been disappointed! At first I thought it would be just a bigger picture, but I get the feeling I am looking at projected 2x2 slides instead of a photograph. Now I can put two images side by side on the screen and compare one with the other. Having the LG 22 in monitor makes it a joy to edit photographs.

THIS THE BEST MONITOR I HAVE EVER WORKED WITH. I USE DIGITAL DISPLAYS FOR WORK AROUND THE COUNTRY FOR HIGH END PHOTO PRINTERS IN THE ONE HOUR PHOTO DEPARTMENTS. THE CLARITY OF PHOTOS ON THIS LG IS THE BEST I'VE SEEN. I'M ALSO A GAMER THAT NEEDS THE FAST RESPONSE TIME OF THE 2ms. PLAYING OBLIVION IS BREATH TAKING! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MONITOR TO ANY ONE THATS WANTS TO GET AWAY FROM CRT'S.

The LG Flatron L226WTQ-BF delivers a very sharp picture, excellent color quality, and a lightning-fast pixel response, but its handling of light-gray shading is mediocre at best.

The muscle for a gamer as well as the space for a stock trader. With outstanding specifications and a reasonable price tag, you just can't beat the Samsung 226BW

This monitor is going to be one crazy best seller... the 225 was no slouch, but the 226 has out of sight specs, AND is much 'cooler' looking. And of course the price is incredibly cheap for such a big chunk of display real estate. If you've been dreaming of a large monitor as long as I have, you ought to run out and get this beauty for under $4 bills!

Bottom line: The Samsung 226BW is definitely worth the purchase and I know you won't be disappointed!

Sleek, stylish and wonderfully vibrant in use, this is the best of the 22in TFTs we've seen.

For gamers though, this is an excellent monitor. It's fast, it has awesome colour and the piano black design will suit the need for all things fancy. It will also work brilliantly for office tasks, but the response time and the 8 bit colour processing means the 226BW is targeted squarely at the gaming crowd.

If you're looking for a 20-22" monitor in the sub-£300 price range, this is definitely the one to get. The design is great and the image quality is fantastic, especially when gaming. You can get better image quality if you move up to £300+, but the Samsung 226BW will suit the vast majority of people who are in the market for a great-looking monitor, in both senses of the word.

Overall I highly recommend this monitor, the style, OSD, and performance is top notch, and arguably second to none. Aside from some backlight bleeding (the norm for TN panels), the performance is excellent in every area I tested it in. The monitor is well suited for dual or single monitor use, and excels in gaming especially. The increased contract ratio really shows its muscle when viewing dark pictures. Based on my experience with monitors and my sensitive eyes, I can state definitively that this is the best 22" monitor I have ever used. Out of the box it performs very well, and achieves near perfect status once it’s calibrated. This is a monitor that will not disappoint and will continue to impress you for a very long time.
