I have been enjoying the Sony VPL-HS60 for several months. I went with a 110" fixed screen that has a gain of 1.3. I'm very happy with this configuration. The screen gain works well in my room which has a small amount of ambient light. The projector has performed flawlessly since I took it out of the box. Setup was quick and easy. It's very quiet. HD images are very crisp.

Combining the lens shift function with short throwing distance function, the VPL-HS60 is capable of projecting an 80-inch 16:9 wide screen image for a distance of 2.4 metres, offering unlimited visual and audio pleasure even in limited spaces.

This Sony has the highest brightness of the other models compared to. 1200 lumens (the level of light that gets output to the screen). This is a key careabout or your screen will appear darker than it should, plus the brighter the light, the more light you can have in your room, lamps etc. I strongly recommend this projector. High quality, strong brand and great for home entertainment use.

I am a first time buyer for this type equipment and am blown away! Our application is for live theatre projections in an intimate space. Having seen other productions with very limited budgets using this type of technology which was usually of very poorquality, I have found that the IN26 quality has definitely exceeded my expectations. We are using the unit to project on a black theatre flat and even at 50% power the images are clean and crisp and easy to watch. Great value for the budget minded user.

Some people says poor man's Krell, but no it is better than Krell. HD 70 rules. Absolutely wonderful picture and vibrant color. I was using Benq W100 and after switching over to Optoma I was stone by looking at the picture that what I was missing all those days. I have to say that patch it with a good DVD player and you are in a heaven. Trust me on this.

The Optoma HD70 is a breakthrough home theater projector - the first true HD (720p) projector to sport a list price of under $1000 ($999 of course)! The bottom line, is that 720p for under $1000 is a dramatic price performance breakthrough. That alone is sufficient to impress us, and we are pleased to bestow our Hot Product Award to the Optoma HD70. That said, the Optoma HD70 has a number of other things going for it, in addition to its great price!

Unbelievable HD picture quality. Do not even think about buying a Flat Panel TV even if you have a small room like mine. I am using 100' screen with HD cable and loving the quality. This Optoma HD70 is just amazing.

With the HD70, Optoma continues to lead the industry in smashing through price barriers, as it is the first of the DarkChip2 720p projectors to go under $1,000. This is a truly exciting release. With HD 720p projection now available at such low prices, just about anyone can afford to watch this fall's football season in pure high definition. While small compromises have been made to deliver 720p DLP at this price, the HD70 is a solid projector that represents a major step forward in the quality of entry level home theater.
