t?s been under attack from a spate of keyboard-equipped Windows Mobile devices recently, but RIM is back with a new, improved version of its wireless messenger, a better screen and a cleaner, more angular design.
This retains the great email features of its older siblings, working with software on the mobile network so that incoming emails are automatically forwarded to it. You can reply to them using the tiny-but-useable thumb keys that adorn the front.

The BlackBerry 8700g is a stylish & thin Smartphone that has been beautifully designed by BlackBerry with the mobile business user in mind. The 8700g has been designed with all the usual Smartphone features which are expected by BlackBerry users. The mobile handset is larger than other mobile phones but then the BlackBerry 8700g is not just another mobile phone but a mobile office. The handset comes with a large coloured screen which provides a screen resolution of 320 x 240 pixels & below the colourful screen is a full QWERTY, QWERTZ, AZERTY keyboard. The 8700g comes with dedicated keys which include a send, mute & end key which makes the handset highly user friendly. The BlackBerry 8700g comes from the BlackBerry 8700 Series which includes the BlackBerry 8700f, BlackBerry 8700v, BlackBerry 8707v & BlackBerry 8707g. The BlackBerry range provides other mobile phones which include BlackBerry 7100g & BlackBerry 7100v & the BlackBerry Pearl 8100.

The good: The RIM BlackBerry 8700c benefits from an Intel processor and EDGE support, as well as a bright display, a full QWERTY keyboard, and a slim design.
The bad: To our disappointment, the RIM BlackBerry 8700c uses a proprietary instant-messaging client, and Bluetooth is limited to use with headsets and car kits.
The bottom line: Armed with an Intel processor and EDGE support, the RIM BlackBerry 8700c offers mobile professionals a winning package of performance, productivity, and design.

In the enterprise market the BlackBerry still has a solid and faithful following but in the company that I am responsible for I have already replaced BlackBerry with Pocket PC and the reason for that comes down to the exchange server that I run, my Pocket PCs, smartphones and PalmOne Treos can synchronize with exchange directly, they don't need the costly BlackBerry Enterprise Server to help them out. By choosing Pocket PC over BlackBerry I'm just saving money, improving reliability, adding features and cutting out another step that I must provide and support, it's as simple as that.

Here is a nice explanatory review on RIM Blackberry 8700. I must add on here its earpiece quality, speaker phone and microphone sounds just great and its over all layout is genius.
