I bought this camera for one specific purpose: a cheap point n shoot that has a very high megapixel count for printing out poster-sized prints. It fulfills this function very well. It has the added bonuses of being extremely easy to use (others in my family can take good pics with it) & its 5x optical zoom is great for amateur wildlife photography when I don't feel like lugging an SLR w/ lens around. I'd only recommend this to people looking to be able to take high-res pictures and/or have 5x optical zoom in a relatively inexpensive camera - but it performs these tasks very well.

Pros: This thing takes great pictures in auto mode. It recognizes faces well and will even go into macro mode automatically. Kodak has always made good digital cameras and this one is no exception!

Bought this for my parents who have never used a digital camera so ease of use was of primary concern. From that perspective it's a home run. It is much more intuitive than the other digital cameras I have owned/used. Low-light usage is (predictably) not as good as my D-SLR (forget the 8000 ISO from a practical standpoint, but at 800 it performs well). Shutter lag is on par or better than other Point-and-shoots I've used (hardly noticeable). Supports about 15 or so languages.

The Kodak EasyShare Z885 Digital Camera makes it possible to print bright and detailed photos. It also contains a 6.4 color display that allows the photographer to view the pictures clearly whether indoors or out. In addition, the auto picture rotation feature allows the photographer to view the photos all right-side-up, whether the photo is shot horizontally or vertically. When viewed in review mode, the photos may also be magnified up to 8x and the camera has a fast scroll option.

While it suffers at higher ISO sensitivity settings, the Kodak EasyShare Z885 is a surprisingly flexible, affordable camera.

The good: Combination of fast drive mode and high resolution; large buffer; highly customizable; saves custom camera setups to media, supports cards greater than 2GB. The bottom line: In a league by itself, the Mark II offers professional photographers extensive customization, excellent photo quality, and market-leading speed.

The EOS-1D Mark II N Professional Digital SLR preserves the speed, responsiveness, image quality and reliability of the popular EOS-1D Mark II while incorporating newly refined features that make the camera easier and more precise to use. Firing at the same 8.5 frames per second, the 1D Mark II N captures up to 48 full-resolution JPEG images in a burst. Just like the 1D Mark II, the 1D Mark II N lets the user save the same image simultaneously in both the CompactFlash (CF) and SD memory card slots, a highly effective backup mechanism.

A minor update of the EOS 1D Mark II, the Mark II N offers a larger LCD monitor, image parameters, and file saving options. Geared toward professional needs. The Canon EOS 1D Mark II N digital SLR is not so seriously updated that owners of the previous 1D model should feel compelled to trade up, but the Mark II N might be a good entry point for new users interested in this line. The large 2.5" LCD makes previewing simple, and the 8.2 megapixel sensor is more than enough to produce great shots. The Mark II N also allows simultaneous saving of images in multiple formats to CF and SD memory cards.

For improved image review and menu readability, the Canon 1D Mark II N is fitted with a larger, brighter 2.5-inch 230K pixel poly-silicon TFT LCD monitor, giving photographers a significantly larger viewing area. The improved screen has twice the number of backlighting LEDs so that it retains brightness and angle of view, both vertically and visibility throughout a wide 170ï‚° horizontally. This makes it easy to view images when camera is mounted in a fixed position. The Canon EOS-1D Mark II N incorporates a host of improvements to enhance performance, operation and speed. To prevent shooting disruption, new folders are now automatically created when image number 9999 is reached in the current folder.

With a wicked 8.5 frames per second, this is a sports/action/photojournalists dream camera. If you need the speed this is the one. Aimed squarely at sports shooters and photojournalists, Canon has done it. If you are looking for more of a portrait/art/wedding camera get the Canon 5D.
