To be blunt, its newest, the 2GB SA6025 (the 4GB model is SA6045), isn't good enough to change this. It is a decent Flash MP3 and video player, don't get me wrong. Videos played smoothly. It syncs easily with Windows Media Player. The controls are easy enough to use, but not always intuitive though.

    • EXCELLENT mp3 player

This Philips mp3 player is excellent, I have had in my hands ipod nano, Sansa c260 and other cheap mp4 players and let me tell you this one rocks, better than all of these. The sound quality is excellent, even with the earphones included on the package, the scren is awesome, 2.2 inches, really sharp and big. I really have no complains about this player, well jist one but not very important, it gets fingerprints all over the front due to the glossy front that makes it look great. Just take with you something to clean it and youre done. I highly recomend you this mp3 player, excellent in everything I was looking for(big and sharp screen, excellent sound quality, nice look and with fm radio).

    • Looks extremely smart

      saved by jenifer | pcpro.co.uk

The SA6025 is a little bulky for a solid-state MP3 player, but it looks extremely smart. The player's sound quality was up to scratch, with plenty of volume and well-defined high frequencies. Unfortunately, this exaggerated the headphones' slightly harsh tone, with too much treble and not enough bass. We managed to correct it using the Custom EQ function, but sound quality remained good rather than excellent with the supplied headphones and we'd recommend upgrading.

    • Simple and well designed flash player

1 out of 1 users found this review useful

At heart this is just a simple, well-designed flash player. The graphics may not be sexy, but the attractive physical design makes up for it. Plus, the device's FM tuner and recorder, along with line-in recording, make the gigabeat a solid purchase in the 2 GB portable media player department. And, at the moment anyway, it is $50 cheaper than a 2 GB nano.

    • AVOID!

      saved by jenifer | amazon.com

This thing uses an iPod method of requiring you to load proprietary software onto your computer to use it. Sorry, that's why many of us avoid iPods in the first place. Avoid this product, it looks cute, but it sucks and is a waste of money and, more importantly, a waste of time!

    • Neat little music player

      saved by jenifer | stuff.co.nz

The Samsung YP-U3 is a neat little music only player that packs quite a lot of features into a low price. Value for money, you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal. The sound is very good, especially for a player at this price, though as usual a good set of earphones with make it even better.
