Very rich aromas of spiced apple and resiny oak. Superripe, fat and powerful, with rich flavors of apple, spice and butterscotch given structure by an underlying stony quality. Kept fresh by some unconverted malic acidity. Ladiere says this is actually higher in acidity than the Perrieres, but the minerality of the latter wine gives it even more power and aromatic lift.. Mellow and full, this straw-gold Chardonnay balances focused white and stone fruit flavors and distinct almond notes with a refined acidity, set in a structure shaped by restrained oak lending a touch of vanilla and toast.
