Edoardo Seghesio immigrated to America in 1886 from the Piedmonte region of Italy, home to Barbera. In California, while Barbera has been grown for over a century, it has only recently enjoyed a resurgence in popularity. Barbera is ideally suited to Californias growing conditions.
