In recent years Castello Banfi has expanded it`s holdings considerably acquiring various producers in Piedmonte, Umbria, Abruzzo and Veneto in Italy; as well as in Australia and Chile. In 1978, Banfi acquired a 4,500 acre former feudal domain in the DOC area of Montalcino. It is located in San`Angelo Scalo, a sleepy town about three miles from Montalcino`s 14th century fortress. With subsequent acquisitions, the estate has expanded to 7,500 acres.. Pale straw color, with intense and fresh aromas of flowers but also of lime, pear, peaches and citrus. On the palate the wine is lively and persistent thanks to a pleasing but not aggressive acidity. Balanced and fresh; flavors on the palate support those of the bouquet. Wine ITALIAN STILL WINE
