Golan Heights Winery Merlot Yarden Kosher 2003 2003 750ml

The Yarden Merlot shows great personality, combining ripe berry and cherry notes with jam, spice, chocolate and nuances of orange peel. These characters are highlighted with a background of rich oak and vanilla. This Merlot is full-bodied, complex and delivers a long, tasty finish. Yarden Merlot drinks well now, but will continue to improve with a few years of age. This wine should stay in good shape for up to a decade if stored in good conditions. We enjoy Yarden Merlot with bold flavors such as moussaka, grilled spicy lamb sausages, or a perfectly cooked rack of lamb roasted over a bed of fresh rosemary. Yarden Merlot is made from Merlot grown in the central-northern Golan Heights, mostly from the vineyards Ortal, Yonaton, Allone Habashan and Shaal.
