Raspberry and blackberry jam characterize the Gamla Merlot, along with nuances of orange peel, chocolate, oak and vanilla. The attractive aroma and flavor couple with a medium body and tasty finish to complete this elegant wine. One can enjoy Gamla Merlot immediately or, if stored well, up to about six years following the harvest. We like to drink Gamla Merlot with a variety of foods, from moussaka to pasta putanesca to grilled lamb chops. Gamla Merlot is made from fruit grown in the central and northern Golan Heights, the area that consistently produces our finest Merlot fruit.
