Better than commercial printers!

Got this last week and it's tremendous! I'm printing on Canon Pro and Plus papers, as well as Ilford gallerie papers. They're all breathtaking. My friends and family think they're professionally printed. I'm really happy with it. Had a Canon pixma i6600. Not even in the same category. I'm so glad I upgraded. Will print up to 13x19. It's fast too! But it is gigantic!!! I absolutely highly recommend it!

Great option for superb fast colour output

It’s expensive, especially when you consider that replacing all eight cartridges costs $216, but the build of the Pro 9000 instills confidence if you’re looking for a relatively high-volume printer. It isn’t ideal for monochrome, but for superb, fast colour output it’s a great option.

A Printer You Gotta Have

Unpack, assemble following the quick start guide, and print pictures that will blow you away. I had an HP photoprinter and was pretty happy, Then it started to give me a few problems. I could not resolve them and had started looking for a printer that would produce pictures that were worthy of my NIKON D-200. This printer MOOORRRREEEE than met my expectations. I think you would be very happy putting this in your office to print your favorite pictures. Make sure you have a LARGE space to put it. The footprint is VERY LARGE. You will need a 30" X 30" space to park it.

There is no doubt that this printer is producing some excellent prints, and deserves all the praise it receives. Many photographers love the distinct Canon printer quality and the Pro9000 won't disappoint in this respect.. The Pro9000 is perhaps not a quantum leap forward with printer technology, but it is well specified and represents excellent value for money.

The prints are amazing as is the speed with which the printer prints. The bundled software is especially helpfull if you are using autocad or photoshop. The printer software comes with photoshop profiles which you can install. The best part is that even with an uncalibrated monitor, when using the photoshop profile, the color accuracy is amazing. Overall I am extremely happy with this purchase. Instead of spendint 80 bucks a pice for kinkos to print portfolios, I can print them from the comfort of my own home. this is a great printer and I would highly recommend it.

Canon's new PIXMA Pro9000 dye-based inkjet had a tough act to follow in the i9900. But it brings down the house with vibrant color, fast printing and versatile media handling that challenges not just the i9900 but pigment-based 13x19 printers. We miss the FireWire option of the i9900 but once again enjoyed a straightforward installation process. At least the Pro9000 has wheels to make it easy to balance its weight and move it around.
