Impressive Specs, but true lack of potential and integrated...

The FE series is one of Sony's consumer line. This is meant for the causal user, not really into the whole gaming scene, and only uses basic to casual media. People that buy this computer are people that use this just as a means to get work done when not at their home desktop.

The Sony VAIO VGN-FE770G Notebook looks good, is very slim and designed well. The performance is good, but I feel like AMD still has an advantage over Intel when it comes to speed for the Internet, gaming and complex graphics. The notebook is easy to use, especially the built-in mouse pad, even though when possible I like to plug in a regular 3-button mouse.

The Sony VAIO VGN-FE770G Notebook comes with the new Intel Core 2 Duo processor and a 120MB hard drive. A lot of processor power and hard drive space for storage. On top of that is a slim, lightweight notebook with a beautiful widescreen display. The notebook measures 14.4 inches wide, by 10.8 inches deep, by 1.39 inches thick and weighs 6.17 pounds. The DVD reader/writer is a nice addition with 4x DL DVD+R/-R, and 8x DVD+R/-R, with 6x DVD-RW, 8x DVD+RW and 5x DVD-RAM. It also has 24x CD-R and 16x CD-RW. A nice veritable reader and writer that should satisfy all you needs.

This is my sixth Sony notebook and it is my favorite so far for mid-size units. It has a great screen which has a superb combination of brightness and color. The VGN-FE770G is somewhat feature laden and is able to handle all applications with aplomb. The buttons below the touchpad are a bit noisy/clunky and the keyboard has a bit longer travel than I would prefer but they aren't major drawbacks. Battery life is average for a notebook of this size and capabilities, in truth I wasn't expecting much more. The weight is in the right range also. Overall this is a good deal on an excellent notebook.

Sony is a very good brand and the laptop Sony Vaio Vgn-Fe 770g is surely one that I can recommand you. This notebook has a new fast Intel Core 2 duo processor and a widescreen of 15 inch. Very interesting is that this notebook has standard an intern memory of 1 gigabyte which can be upgraded till 2 gigabyte. I love the excellent colours on this screen and the sharp images, surely for pictures and watching movies. The technology used for this LCD screen calls XBRITE-ECO LCD and is one of the best of this moment in my opinion. There is also a webcam built in this notebook which makes it possible to chat and video mail with friends and family. Surely a nice feature at this moment.
