Pioneer Inno Disappointing
I've been an XM subscriber since just about the beginning. I've also had a number of different units, including the XM2go MyFi. I got sucked in by the hype, and bought one of these new Pioneer Inno units expecting the portability feature to be much improved over the XM2go MyFi. It wasn't! Reception is very erratic--you turn one way and lose the signal--turn another way and it starts receiving again--just like the XM2go MyFi. I suspect those reporting good reception are better served by terrestrial repeaters than I am.

Pioneer Inno (XM) Review
The good: The most portable satellite radio receiver yet, the Pioneer Inno (and its twin, the Samsung Helix) lets you listen to live radio and stored content on a device about the size of an iPod. It has an attractive, easy-to-learn interface, and it can schedule recordings or record any XM song live. The bottom line: The Pioneer Inno is compact, gets great reception, and lets you enjoy live satellite audio and your own tracks on the go. Better battery life and more storage would make this XM portable even better.

Pioneer Inno review by PC Magazine
The Bottom line : The device itself is extremely cool, and the service is top-notch and integrated beautifully with the XM + Napster client. But the Inno's price, which doesn't include XM service fees, may scare off those on a budget.

Pioneer Inno Review and User Opinions
Roughly the footprint of a deck of cards and a few millimeters thinner, the attractive Inno slips easily into a pocket or purse. The brushed aluminum finish is sleek and contemporary. Buttons are integrated into the surface of the device except for the volume and power buttons which are raised types.

Gadgetell Review: XM Pioneer Inno | Gadgetell
If you live in an area with great XM reception then this is the device for you, otherwise the Inno is an expensive MP3 player with limited satellite radio functionality, though it looks good while playing. This is one of the nicest portable audio players you will ever hold. While playing a song, pressing the center button calls up a menu of advanced features and controls so that you can record a song or a channel, bookmark a song for later reference, browse through your stored songs, create a playlist on the fly, or adjust settings.

Pioneer Inno XM/MP3 Player review
The most portable satellite radio receiver yet, the Pioneer Inno (and its twin, the Samsung Helix) lets you listen to live radio and stored content on a device about the size of an iPod. Its 1GB of storage can be used to store about 50 hours of recorded XM content, or it can be partitioned in half to hold about 8 hours of MP3 or WMA files and 25 hours of XM recordings. It has a color TFT screen and an attractive, easy-to-learn interface, and it can schedule recordings or record any XM song live. It includes a home dock and a remote, and it has a built-in FM transmitter for car use.

Pioneer Inno Reviewed by Laptop Magazine
The colorful 1.7-inch display provides a wealth of information–the name and number of the current channel, battery life, reception strength, and time–without feeling cramped. Remarkably, the Inno's ten-minute buffer allows you to record an entire song even if you start recording midway. Disenchanted listeners of traditional radio will love the Pioneer Inno. Although the five hours of battery life when listening in live mode is a bit short, the multitude of stations, recording flexibility, and Napster integration make the Inno the premier portable satellite receiver on the market.

Pioneer Inno.... THE MOTHERSHIP HAS LANDED!
The first and foremost important feature, aside from being able to listen to LIVE XM just about anywhere portably, is the RECORD feature. When in LIVE mode, press the ((( ))) button twice (note 2), and the unit gives you the option of recording the song you are currently listening to, recording the current channel (for as long as free space allows), or schedule a recording at a future time. In case you are wondering how long the recorded XM content can remain on your device, the answer is indefinitely, as long as you remain an XM Radio subscriber.

Amazon.com: Pioneer Inno Portable XM2go Radio with MP3
The design of the unit is well done. The screen looks great and the interface works well. The screen will rotate based on if it is docked or free standing and the dials rotate as well. The one negative is the battery, it seems that the battery will drain even if it is in sleep mode, thus it only lasts about a day. You really need to charge it overnight. This is a nuisance, but doesn't take away too much from the significant improvements, and ability to listen your XM in many new places and ways. Overall this a great radio, and I am pleased with many of the added features. Most of the negatives have designed workarounds, and the radio looks great too. If you are an XM subscriber looking for a state of the art radio this is a solid choice.

PC World - Pioneer Inno XM2go Review
The tiny Pioneer Inno squeezes a radio receiver and an MP3 player into a package that looks like a mobile phone--but it lets you listen to and record live XM Satellite Radio on the go. By letting you mix radio content with your music collection, this device could change the way you listen to music.
