Review: InFocus IN76 - PC Magazine
Getting the IN76 ready for action is straightforward considering what a sophisticated projector it is. The remote control, for instance, is backlit and well laid out. The most immediate impact of its classy pictures comes from their sheer clarity. There is practically no sign of any sort of video noise anywhere. If you’re looking for a top-class movie projector that punches absolutely miles above its price weight, your bucks should stop here.

All in all I am impressed with the unit. It offers a lot of bang-for-the-buck. Its strong points are the bright image, small and sleek case design, multiple input flexibility, and clean image.

InFocus IN76 Play Big DLP Projector First Look
In addition to the HDMI and M1DA inputs the IN76 has component, s-video, and composite video connectors, making it compatible with just about any video source you want to throw at it. InFocus has also thoughtfully added a serial control port and a 12 volt trigger. In terms of brightness, the IN76 falls into the “brighter than average category. For those who are sensitive to DLP rainbows, the IN76 exhibited very little in the way of rainbow artifacts.

Review: InFocus Play Big IN76
The InFocus Play Big IN76 is an impressive new competitive entry in the 720p class of home theater projectors. It produces a big, bright, engaging image, it has two digital inputs instead of one like many of its competition, and its casework styling has much more consumer appeal than previous generations of InFocus products. To top it off, it takes 1080p/24 as well as 1080p/50/60, which makes it a viable choice for post production houses as well as consumer use.

InFocus Play Big IN76 Projector Review
Stunning! Without a doubt, the IN76 is as good a looking projector as you will find. It is interesting to note up front, that InFocus chose the 1280x720 resolution Darkchip2 DLP chip to power the IN76. The lens is a zoom with an 1.3:1 zoom ratio, providing a little more placement versatility than most DLP projectors in its class, which typically have 1.2:1 zooms. The throw ratio, is best described as medium.

InFocus IN76 Video Projector Review: Home Theater Blog |
The most striking cosmetic difference between the IN76 and previous InFocus projectors is the case design. The remote control for the Play Big series also got a makeover, the color matches the projector (black with silver trim) and some of the backlit functions are a little easier to see in a dark room.
