Pros: Easy to use! Takes great shots! Point and shoot :)
Cons: A few issues, but nothing that would stop me from buying this!
Recently I was researching what Digital Camera to buy. I decided to wait on the pricy purchase because I wanted to be 100% sure what I wanted. Earlier this month all that research went out the window when I found out HP was coming out with new cameras!...

This camera has the best bang for your buck so to speak. I didn't buy it from Amazon because Best Buy had an awesome deal ($269). I have been researching a digital camera for awhile now. I am a complete novice, not evening owning a standard 35mm film camera. I had a crash course in digitals. I decided on the HP Photosmart R727 after much deliberation and research. I went to the Best Buy store, talked to the (actually) helpful (this time) sales people who were quite knowledgeable in the camera section and walked away with the HP.

The HP Photosmart R727 is a 6.2-megapixel, ultra-compact camera. An ultra-compact digital camera, suited for everyday snapshot photography. A recommended use, based on key features, is framed photos for the home. The largest recommended print size, estimated from the camera's resolution, is 12x16 or larger.

The compact camera field is a crowded one, so the Photosmart R727 has its work cut out for it. The Photosmart R727 uses HP's familiar R07 lithium-ion rechargeable battery. This compact battery packs 3.9 Wh of energy, which is about average. As with all ultra-compact cameras, the Photosmart R727 has built-in lens cover, so there's no lens cap to deal with.

The HP R727 ultra-compact digital camera features a bright, indoor and outdoor 2.5 inch image display and sturdy all metal body, while being thin enough to slip in your pocket. The slim, premium-styled HP Photosmart R727 digital camera features a bright LCD for indoor and outdoor viewing and is thin enough to easily fit inside a pocket.

The Photosmart R727 is a well-designed, smart camera with a sturdy metal case that's thin enough to fit easily into a shirt pocket. The slim design extends to the lens as well: The 3X optical zoom doesn't protrude from the case. The 2.5-inch LCD is bright and clear, and looked good in everything but direct sunlight.

Strengths: Compact, versatile, reasonable full featured camera. Very nice, warm colors in flash photos. Easy, intuitive menu choices makes the owner's manual essentially unnecessary. A very nice camera, especially for a teenager looking for a decent quality camera, but without too many bells and whistles. Perfect choice for our 16 old daughter. The camera is compact enough to easily slip into a large pocket or small purse. Also, the lens is always protected with a cover that is closed when the camera is not in use.
